About this meeting point
Der Col du Tronc ist eine Passhöhe im Wallis auf rund 1'608 m und verbindet den Col des Planches mit dem Col du Lein. Für Motorradfahrer ist vor allem die schmale, einspurige Naturstraße relevant. Die Strecke ist unbefestigt; die Anfahrt von Le Levron in Richtung Col du Tronc wird in einer Motorradbeschreibung ausdrücklich nur geübten Endurofahrern empfohlen. Die Verbindung zwischen Col du Lein und Col des Planches wird außerdem als kurze Naturstraßenpassage beschrieben. Der Pass liegt im Gebiet von Vollèges beziehungsweise der heutigen Gemeinde Val de Bagnes. Die Koordinaten 46.10193, 7.14401 stimmen mit der kartografisch ausgewiesenen Passlage überein.
Am Standort befindet sich die Buvette d’alpage du Col du Tronc. Sie ist für die Saison 2026 vom 30. Mai bis 11. September täglich von 08:30 bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet. Angeboten werden unter anderem Käsekruste, Alpomelett, Walliser Teller mit Käse und hausgemachter Charcuterie sowie Fondue. Als Kontaktadresse ist Col du Tronc, 1941 Vollèges angegeben. Beim Zugang wird auf Vieh und Herdenschutzhunde hingewiesen.
